Your Retrotouch Wi-Fi switch must be fully paired and controllable within the Smart Life app.
You must have the Amazon Alexa App installed on your smartphone and logged into your Amazon account.
Open the Amazon Alexa app on your phone.
Tap the More tab in the bottom right corner of the screen, then select Skills & Games.
Tap the search icon (magnifying glass) in the top-right corner and search for "Smart Life"
Select the matching skill from the results and tap Enable to Use.
You will be redirected to a secure login page. Enter the exact Username/Email and Password used for your Retrotouch or Smart Life account, then tap Link Now.
Grant permission for Alexa to access your smart home profile by tapping Authorize.
Once linked, close the confirmation screen. Alexa will automatically start a discovery scan to search for new devices.
Within 45 seconds, your Retrotouch switches will appear in the Alexa device catalog. You can now organize them into rooms or assign them voice control commands (e.g., "Alexa, turn on the Living Room light").
Your Retrotouch Wi-Fi switch must be fully operational inside the Smart Life app.
You must have the Google Home App installed and logged into your Google account.
Open the Google Home app on your phone.
Tap the "+" (Plus sign) or "Add" button, typically found in the top-left or main dashboard menu.
Select Set up device, then choose Works with Google (formerly Have something already set up?).
Tap the search bar at the top and type "Smart Life".
Tap the matching service profile.
A login window will appear. Enter yourr Smart Life account credentials and select your correct country code, then tap Link Now.
Click Authorize to grant Google Assistant permission to access your switch network.
Google Home will pull your paired switches into the app. Follow the on-screen prompts to assign each switch gang to a specific room in your home profile for clean voice control indexing (e.g., "Hey Google, turn off the Kitchen lights").
"Device is Unresponsive" in Alexa/Google but works fine in the SmartLife app: The cloud authentication token between the two ecosystems has likely expired. Open your Alexa or Google Home app, find the "Linked Services" or "Skills" menu, select Smart Life/Retrotouch, tap Disable/Unlink, and then re-link the account using the steps above.
Renaming your switches: If you change the name of a switch or an individual gang inside the Smart Life app (e.g., changing "Switch 1" to "Hallway Pendant"), Alexa and Google Assistant will not always update automatically. Simply say, "Alexa, discover devices" or say "Hey Google, sync my devices" to update the names instantly.
Multi-Gang Switch Control: If you have a 2-Gang or 3-Gang Retrotouch switch, it will sync to Alexa and Google Home as a master unit with multiple independent "sub-switches" or endpoints. You can rename each individual endpoint separately in your voice assistant app so you can control each light individually.
