Retrotouch Product Range Comparison SKU's

1. Aura Rocker Switches — Metal Range

Aura construction: milled aluminium frame, 10AX rating, 230V 50Hz, earth terminal and 10-year warranty. The current Aura specification sheet confirms 1–4 gang options and 1-way/2-way/intermediate functionality.

2. Aura Retractive Switches

The retractive models specify a recommended 25mm mounting-box depth and a 10-year warranty.

Typical trade applications: smart relays, automation systems, dimming modules and specialist control systems.

3. Crystal Touch Switches — Glass Range

Retrotouch's Crystal Touch specification sheet confirms the above product-code groups, 35mm back-box depth and four glass finishes: white, black, grey and brass.

4. Crystal Mechanical Rocker Switches

The Crystal mechanical rocker range is available in 1–4 gang, with 1-way, 2-way and intermediate versions.

Important: These are catalogue/product codes from Retrotouch's published specification material and should be checked against the individual current listing before ordering, particularly where a product has been superseded. The published Crystal rocker specification identifies the range as 1–4 gang, glass finish, screwless and compatible with LED lighting.

5. Crystal Cooker Switch & Socket

Dimensions: approximately 146 × 86mm.

The current Retrotouch listing confirms SKU 01842 for the White Glass version and specifies a 35mm back box, 45A double-pole cooker switch and 13A socket.

6. Aura Modular Plates & Data Accessories

The Aura Euro module plate uses Retrotouch's modular system and can accept either one 50mm module or two 25mm modules.

The Aura BT Master socket is specified at 88 × 88mm with a recommended 25mm mounting-box depth.

7. Smart Wi-Fi Crystal Range

Retrotouch recommends a minimum 35mm back box for its Crystal Wi-Fi smart switches and 47mm where possible to provide more room for the electronics and wiring.

8. Crystal Wi-Fi Shutter Switches

The shutter switch is designed for blinds and curtains and has an 86 × 86 × 29mm format.

9. Friends of Hue Wireless Switches

Dimensions: 86 × 86 × 14mm for the standard single unit.

The Friends of Hue switch is battery-free and wireless, using EnOcean technology to communicate with a Philips Hue Bridge. Retrotouch lists White Glass, White Glass with Chrome Trim, Black Glass and Black Glass with Chrome Trim finishes.

10. KNX Wireless / Kinetic Range

The KNX switch is designed for wireless KNX control and can be used for applications including lighting, dimming and blind control. Retrotouch specifies 86 × 86 × 14mm dimensions and self-powered operation.

Trade Notes

1. Gang size
Gang refers to the number of independent controls/modules on the plate. A 2-gang switch controls two separate circuits, while a 3-gang switch controls three.

2. 2-way vs intermediate
For conventional switching, use 2-way switches at the two ends of a circuit. Add an intermediate switch where the same light needs to be controlled from three or more locations. Retrotouch's current switching guidance confirms this arrangement.

3. Back-box depth
Do not specify the back box purely from the faceplate appearance. The electronic Crystal Touch and Wi-Fi products require more depth than the Aura mechanical range.

4. Smart switches
For Wi-Fi products, allow additional space wherever possible. Retrotouch recommends 47mm for easier installation even though 35mm is the minimum for the Crystal Wi-Fi range. If using a Dimmer version, a Neutral cable is required. 

5. Product codes
Where a current Retrotouch product page provides a SKU, that SKU has been used. Where the code comes from an older published specification sheet/catalogue, it is identified as such. Always confirm the current product page before placing a bulk trade order.
